All,

I'm currently facing issues with the scroll functionality in SAP screen personas 3.0.

In personas 2.0, the scroll worked as expected, and it allowed the user to see the remainder of the back ground image and the additional fields.

In 3.0 however, the scroll isn't actually moving the back ground image. The scroll moves the remaining fields although the background image remains still.

An example of this can be seen in the attached word document.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this, or are facing a similar issue with scroll bars in personas 3.0?

Hi,

During certain scenarios, the buttons place in the standard SAP tool bar will appear under an ellipsis on the right hand sign of the screen (example in the attached screenshot).

Is there a setting to stop this from happening?

I recently upgraded to a high DPI laptop and have found that SAPGUI is doesn't like it very much:

As you can see above... SAPGUI is tiny...

Does anyone know if this issue is a common one (or is it just me doing something stupid)? And is SAP working on fixing it? I am using SAP GUI 7.3 Patch 8 (7300.3.8.1084)

I have fulfilled all the pre-requisites in order to install Personas. Please find the screenshot.

When I expand my SAP window, the data on the page stays on the left half of the screen. I'd like it to expand and take up the width of the page when I maximize the window, instead of staying on the left half. I did an update today and lost that setting and can't figure out how to reset that.

We have already deployed our SAP GUI 7.40 to a couple thousand desktops and it turns out a few key Financial users require the SEM component to be added on after the fact.

I have tried using the Installation Sever and just create a package specifically for SEM.  When I tested it I saw where the package is incomplete on the installation source. Is the source the Installation server? I really do not know what this means.   My goal is to crate a package a handful of clients can pull from a web menu.  I greatly appreciate some guidance.

On switching the Potal tab from Personas to another section, I get the following pop-up:

Is there a way I can get rid of this pop-up?

Also, upon clicking 'Stay on this page', Personas is logged out and re-logging in is required.

Additionally, skip-confirmation has been set to true in the configuration settings.

Any suggestions on getting rid of this pop-up?

I am trying to place a Clock in my SAP home page designed in Personas 3.0 and i did the following

1. Created a URL whitelist

2. Created a HTML viewer and assigned the URL

But when i exit Personas and the page does not display any clock?

Any idea where i am going wrong??

i've got an issue with the SAPSetup Automatic Workstation Update tool.

We recently changed the content of a package which is installed on all of our companie's workstations. After marking this package as updated, the automatic Workstation Update tool starts as expected.

the users get a message like "would you like to update your SAP Applications now". If they click "yes" the setup starts, goes up to 100% and then the loop begins: "would you like to update your SAP Applications now".

NwSapSetup.log on the machines looks fine. Last lines:

No errors and no warnings in the logfiles found.

this problem exists on all of our workstations.

Hello everyone,

I know the fancy colored frontend editor has become state-of-the-art (for those that are not already using Eclipse), but I am still using the old backend editor, mainly because it supports all the keyboard shortcuts that I have grown so used to (as well as automatic FORM generation upon doubleclick).

Recently I logged in with a test user, launched SE38 and opened the menu Utilities->Settings to set the editor type to "backend". However, the options there are now named "Source Code-Based Editor" and "Text-Based Editor" instead of what I remember to be "frontend editor" and "backend editor". I fail to set the editor to backend?!

However, with my main user, whom I set to "backend editor" in an earlier SAPGui release (it was 7.20) and upgraded to 7.40 later, the ABAP editor still works nicely in backend mode, meaning that SAPGui 7.40 still supports that mode. So where can I now access the setting when I want to change it for another user?

SAP recently updated on my pc, and I've lost a setting that I had and can't figure out how to get it back. As shown in the attachment, the data tables I view used to widen with the page when I maximized my window. Now, it's defaulted to stay on the left half of the screen. Can anyone tell me how to change this back?

I have a script to run a report using a variant that is defined for users.  I have createf the script for the tcode but I need the user to input the variant they want to use on the screen where the initial script icon executes. 

For example.  I have a script button labeled "report"

I create a multiple variants for this report for the user to choose from.

I need the user to declare what variant they want the script to use when they execute the script button. 

Then the click on script icon to run the tcode and personas captures the variant they entered and then uses it for the report.

we are running 2.0 for now.  hopefully going to EP7 and 3.0 next year.

How do I do that.

I am on Personas 3.

In SMEN transaction, I hid everything, created a button and a HtmlViewer control. I created a script with below code.

I call this script whenever a button is pressed and expected htmlviewer to show "Sample Text". Somehow it is not working. Can anyone help?
