In a script, how can I check if an item is in a dropdown list? Sometimes the item will exist, other times it won't.
Example: The dropdown list will not always contain HTTPS entries. How to I check for its existence? I tried to test for "Control Exists" but that did not work.
Here is the tail end of the object: ... /dropmenuTTYP/menuCONTEXT/itemTT66.
Any ideas? Is this possible?
I'm using SAPGUI for Java 7.30rev6 on a MacBook Pro with Mavericks. There seems to be an issue with how the cursor is displayed/positioned in certain fields and, in particular, ABAP Workbench. The cursor is displayed with a bit of an offset. If you position it at the end of the field contents (say the sold-to number in VA02) it looks as if there was a space after the number. If you try to delete that space, it actually deletes the last character of the number. Same happens in the ABAP Editor at the end of each line/statement, only here it is worse because the offset appears to be 2-3 spaces. It's almost impossible to edit anything. If you want to fix a typo within a statement, you cannot just position the cursor right after the incorrect character/string and delete it. You actually have to put the cursor 2-3 characters after it. It's extremely confusing, not to mention frustrating.
Has anyone encountered this issue? The issue started for me with release 7.30rev2. I was hoping rev6 would finally address it but it's still there.

I am using the SAP Installation Server version 9.0.42.0, and I have added some components to an existing package and marked it as updated.
Clients are not picking up this change though.
If I restart the SAPSetup Automatic Workstation Update Service on my PC, it forces a check for updates, but nothing happens. In the log file I get the following errors:
17:34:02 NwSapsAtlC 1E Server Path \\server.domain.com\SAP GUI Server\Setup could not be found: Error message: The system cannot find the file specified. Error code 0x00000002 (2).
17:34:02 NwAWUServc 1W Error: \\server.domain.com\SAP GUI Server\Setup is not a valid SapSetup folder.
If I copy the above path in to Explorer, it opens it fine.
If I change the local SAPSetup service to run as a domain admin, it works, but this defeats the purpose of using LSH to allow non-admins to perform installations of SAP components.
Please could someone help?

We have chosen to deplay our flavours via Netweaver Business Client. Whenever I close a 'Personas tab' in the client I get the following popup... sometime once, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row which is pretty annoying.
Anyone know what causes this?
We just got ScreenPersonas with plans to do a lot of tab merging. We use a module called global trade management (GTM) - specifically transactions WB21/WB22 (not to be confused with GTS)
When I try to merge tabs on WB21 - the system fails to cache the tabs - so merging is impossible. I believe this is caused by validations that run when you focus on a few of the tabs.
I'm working with my implementation partner to look at removing the validations - but I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience or if there is a best practice for using ScreenPersonas on transactions that have validation checks on tabs before i get them started.

It is a static url. I just edit it either in Personas Script Editor or copy+paste in notepad and change there. I have noticed that if I make even a small change like changing pno from 526772 to 526773 i.e. just one digit change, then the subsequent calls fail. If I restore it to original even that fail. What can be the reason?

I have the following issue:
I tried to download SAP GUI for Windows (SAP GUI for Windows 7.30). I have selected the file and I clicked on "Add my download basket".
In "my download basket" the status is "available to download"; but the trick is that there are no buttons like "click here to download". Also nothing is happening. I tried to click on file, a new window opens but is says HTTP 403 error (website declined to show this page).
I have to await the approval?
Do you know by chance where the problem is?

i am trying to set up a silent install package for SAP Gui 730.
I am using the NwSapSetupAdmin.exe. I created a Package with the products i need. Then i created a Package Definition File. Now i am able to install the Package with this command:

After that i pressed the Button Save and created a new Package Definition File.
I tested the installation on a brand new Windows XP Test VM. The Registry Keys are not working.....
What is my mistake?
I exported this keys from a other computer to a regfile. When i run this Regfile on the Test VM the Values will be set. But it is not working with my silent installation.

We have had this issue for awhile and the fix was always to change the Trust Center center settings to Enable Trust Center Logging and to Enable the Developer Macro Setting to "Trust access to the VBA project object mode". I have now run into a user where that fix doesn't work.
I had the user log onto SAP from my machine and try to export. He didn't have the issue. The export worked as it should. We compare all his Excel settings with mine. They matched up. He still gets a blank excel document within SAP on his machine.
We are both on Windows 7, Excel 2007 and SAP GUI 730.
Any suggestions.

I would like to verify with others using Personas wheather options pop up on right click for PPOSE and PPOME transactions?
It works for other t-codes which have options on right click like ME52N, ME21N etc
