T-Code to show the actual goods receipter

Hello,

 

Non-technical business user here so go "Janet & John" response would be lovely please.

 

The goal is: I am trying to help my Accounts Payable team identify who actually performed a goods receipt in the system. They keep approaching the person identified as "Recipient" which is not the same thing.

 

I thought the solution was to view the "Display Material Document" in t-code ME23N but this only shows the "Recipient" field (i.e. the person who was initially identified as receiving the physical product, not the person who performed the goods receipt).

 

Any ideas?

yesterday I installed Java 1.7.0 and today I want to start the actual SAP GUI for Java but I does not work.

I there something wrong or work the SAP GUI for Java not with Java 7?

Personas - Labels being cleared after most recent Note implementation

This thread was started in reference to comments located here:

It is happening with all buttons on all screens now.  However, upon further investigation, it is only clearing out labels.  Textboxes remain unchanged.

 

If a button runs a transaction behind the scenes without leaving the cockpit, when it is finished executing, all output labels are reset to empty.

 

In the following video, there is a label that is hiding fields in that large blank area.  When I click the GO button, nothing happens because GO checks for errors before any transactions are run.

 

But when I click the Search Button, the xk03 transaction is run in the background.  When the script completes, data is returned to the three output labels within the Vendor Lookup group box, but all other labels are cleared, including the label hiding all the fields.

 

Again I click GO and nothing changes because no transaction is executed.

 

When I click Run Report - the ZPROP report is run and errors are returned to the home screen, and again, all other labels are cleared, but the textboxes are unchanged.

Not able to add HTML in my Screen Personas flavor

Text boxes in Screen Personas

Of course you can add a text box to your own flavor. But what if I want to copy a long text to a new text box. So far I'm only able to add a one line text box. Any options to make this a multiline text box?

Delay in response time within Personas

Hi,

 

I'm currently working on a Personas POC within our Sandbox system (ECC6).

The business scenario I'm looking at involves the following steps:

 

1. Create a new sales quotation (with reference to master customer contract) - VA21

2. Create a new sales contract (with reference to the saved quotation from previous step) - VA41

 

Issue:

 

In Personas (VA21) after entering the master (customer) contract number, select item selection and change qty value of material to required amount and then select copy, we see a delay of a approx 5mins before the screen refresh completes and moves to next screen - Create Quotation Overview.

Same delay is also experienced when we attempt step 2 above.

 

It took me approx 15mins to complete the task and successfully create the 2 sales docs.

 

Potential Root Cause:

 

After some investigation in the back-end, we realised that the "All Items" table within both the sales quotation & contract overview screens is large in size i.e. many columns displayed whether item data is visible or not.

With access to Authorisation Object S_ADMI_FCD& Value: TCTR (Table control settings throughout the system), I was able to mark many of the unwanted columns within the table as invisible and hence reduce the size of the table. Changes are made at Client level rather than at User level.

I then re-ran the scenario in Personas and noticed there was no longer a delay in processing and the system response was exactly as expected (as if I was running directly in the back-end.

 

It took me less than 2mins to complete the task and successfully create the 2 sales docs.

 

Note: I tried to configure the table and save changes at User level by creating a variant via table settings, but this did not resolve the issue.

 

Query:

 

Unfortuantely we do not want to change table config across Client, as we are only piloting Personas to a small business user group right now.

Another avenue we are exploring is the possibility of creating a new transaction/screen variant and assigning this to a nominated user group but we are not 100% sure this approach will be successful?

 

Has anyone experienced this type of issue before? If so, what solutions are available?

 

Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.

SAPRouter Connect string not functional

Greetings Gurus,

 

I am attempting to set up a SAPRouter to forward to local SAP servers.

 

The contents of my saprouttab file is:

The following is my dev_rout file, showing that saprouter should indeed be running.

SAProuter string: /H/192.168.5.22/S/3299/H/

 

 

This configuration is failing with the following error:

Exporting to Excel from Personas

My Personas launchpad gives easy access to CO line item reports (actuals/commitments for cost centre/internal order/project). Sadly, but not unexpectedly, my users have asked for the ability to export the reports to Excel. I had removed that button, indeed the whole toolbar, from the Personas flavours for those reports. The "export to excel" button - this one Screen Shot 2014-01-24 at 14.29.52.png - works fine, but the process is quite cumbersome, presumably due to the browser sandboxing of the Silverlight plug-in. And since some of the process is in the browser and not in SAPgui, it can't be scripted. Here's how it looks:

 

I can't even script the first step in the process - choosing a file format and hitting the "tick" - because the browser pop-ups seem to upset the Personas scripting engine. As soon as I add an action to click the tick, I start getting "timeout" messages.

 

Is the above process as good as I'm going to be able to get, or is there a way I haven't found yet to simplify it? The transaction here is KSB1, if anybody wants to try

Pushing a script button after navigating to another screen fails

I have a scenario (Putting everything together - the finished Personas project) where I have a Personas landing page with custom fields and quick lookup buttons. These lookup buttons run a display transaction to copy some data back to the landing page - the "PO Lookup" described in the blog is the best example of this.

 

I also have a find button that does the job of a custom search help, allowing the user to find a PO, cost centre or other object. These buttons typically copy just the object identifier (e.g. PO number) back to the launchpad screen. I would like to also perform the lookup process after doing this. I could include the lookup process in the script on the search screen, and in some cases I do. It would be better to just push the quick lookup button that already exists on the launchpad screen and avoid duplicating code. That doesn't seem to work for me, though.

 

Here's a simplified example:

 

The process here is:

  • User pushes the "Go" button, which in this example just runs transaction GUIT
  • User pushes the "Go Back" button on GUIT. This button uses "/n" to go back to the start screen, enters some text ("From GUIT") in one field there and pushes a button ("Press me") that fills in some text in another field

You can see that I get the "From GUIT" text, but I don't get the "I was pressed" text that would result from pressing the button. It appears that pressing a script button on one screen after navigating to it in another script doesn't work.

 

Is this right? Have I missed something? Is it a bug that should be reported? Does anyone have any suggestions for getting this to work?

Add new system to SAP Logon 720 Patchlevel 2

Hi,

 

i installed SAP Logon 720 Patch 2 on my computer. On my old installation, Logon 710, it was no problem to add, change and delete new system connection.

 

But in Logon 720 the buttons are grey and not active.

 

Has anybody a tipp how i can activate this buttons?

Has anyone experienced any issues when enabling SAP GUI Scripting?

I can't find anything in the other threads that may answer this question.  Has anyone experienced any issues when enabling SAP GUI scripting (ie. sapgui/user_scripting*) in the application server?  Theoretically, it may post some issues on performance degradation if used incorrectly.  But, are there any actual proof or experiencies that this can really happen?  This is not specific to performance.  It could be related to any scenarios.

Execution of SAP shortcut denied in Internet Explorer

Hi there,

 

I am sure many of us must have come across this error.

I was trying to login to a system through ChaRM 7.1 under the landscape tab.

While doing so I got the following error:

I checked the security settings of sap gui but was unable to find the exact rule which controls the above execution.

The error is not observed if I set the default action in security settings to ALLOW. But this bypasses all the security and poses security threats.

 

Does browser settings also contribute to the error? I have already set them to low.

 

 

If no then which rule is responsible for the above error?

OnCreateHandler

Hello everybody,

we still work in a proof of concept to find out if PERSONAS is able to fulfil the requirements we have when external Service provider working on our SAP-System. If an external Service provider login to the SAP-System a flavour, let’s call it “Basic-flavour”, with all the functions he needs will appear. Combined with this flavor by using the OnCreateHandler there is a script-button. The script of this button first of all select the user who is logged in. After this a WEB-RFC selects the data we need for the next steps from the user-profile of the selected user.

Each value, for example the fullname, the parameter AGR (Workcenter) and the parameter LIF (Vendor) we copy to customer own fields on the basic-flavour and show it to the user.

These values we need for the next process. For example the value from parameter AGR is necessary to select the PM-Orders the external Service provider is responsible for.

So far so good.

If a user starts one of the functions and come back to the “basic-flavour” you can see that the customer own fields get lost their values. Not really a big thing because the script-button behind the OnCreateHandler of the flavour will start again and select the data once again.

Here is the problem. The OnCreateHandler does not start every time, sometimes when a user comes back to the basic-flavour the OnCreateHandler doesn't work and the customer own fields stil stay empty. This will be worst case if an external service provider will start any other function without these values necessary for selection.

I know that a possible solution is to install the script which is attached to the OnCreateHandler of the basic-flavour to every other function we offer to the service provider but I think this makes it unnecessary complex to maintain the scripts.

The problem occur if a user starts a function like “Create notification (IW21)” and says “sorry, this was the wrong button” and leave the transaction back to the “basic-flavour”.

Has anyone similar experience and, i hope so, a better solution than my own?

Sap Screen Personas within NWBC - Floorplan manager

Hello,

 

I have been reading that Screen Personas is compatible with NWBC.

We have deployed MDG-C that is running in NWBC and UI Framework is OVP-FPM.

Does it mean that if I need to update/enhance UI can I do it using Screen Personas? Can FPM be enhanced using Screen Personas?

SAP Note 1852197 - But the solution doesn't work

Hi,

the following problem is:

 

1) Call transaction BUCO.

2) Choose any object (F2)

3) Error message R1894 is raised.

 

I think the solution for this problem is in the SAP note 1852197.

 

- The SAPGui 7.30 PL7 is installed on a windows server 2008 SR2.

 

- I logged in the same server with the user ADMINISTRATOR

- I had making the steps how in the SAP note 1852197.

- I started the following command "regsvr32 VisTransmitter.ocx" but I get following error:

SAP Gui 730 Silent install Package

Hi Basis Gurus,

 

i am trying to set up a silent install package for SAP Gui 730.

 

I am using the NwSapSetupAdmin.exe. I created a Package with the products i need. Then i created a Package Definition File. Now i am able to install the Package with this command:

 

\\server\SAP\SAPGui 7.30\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe /Silent /Package="SAPGui730"

 

So far it is working fine. But now i want to set some registry entries after finishing the installation. I tried to add the following commands in Tab "On Installation End".

I tested the installation on a brand new Windows XP Test VM. The Registry Keys are not working.....

What is my mistake?

 

I exported this keys from a other computer to a regfile. When i run this Regfile on the Test VM the Values will be set. But it is not working with my silent installation.
